Cat Simulator 2015 Mobile Game

Cat Simulator 2015 App Game

In Cat Simulator, you initially start with the vanilla "Basic" cat. You will also be able to unlock others using one of two in-game currencies. There are close to twenty different types of cats available. Some, such as the Blue Russian and the White Angry look to be based on actual breeds. The former looks to be a Russian Blue and the latter is a Persian cat. Others, like the Baby Cheetah and the Bobcat, are more exotic. And then there are the silly ones. If you're into spy movies, then maybe Cat 007 is the one for you. Do you love comic books? Then go for the Hulk-tastic Mighty Cat. There's even a pink Gem Cat if you're looking for something truly unique. Remember, each kitty has its own unique set of stats.

Getting the Hang of Being a Cat

The controls are simple but they're not the most responsive. A virtual joystick is located to the lower left of the screen. To the right are buttons to be used for jumping, interacting with objects and hitting things. Having the means to interact with the environment means you can do things like eat off a pet bowl and so on. With the attack button, you can destroy expensive vases, knock off expensive flat screen TVs and a multitude of other things just to annoy humans. There are other pets to pester too.

From gardens to the neighborhood street, there are nine different locations to explore. You begin with a small part of the house, learning the ropes on how to be a true blue cat. Once you've got the hang of things, you can complete a Time Attack challenge to proceed to the next stage. This is represented by a rotating clock. Running past the icon will initiate the timer. That's your cue to interact and destroy with as many things as possible. Succeed and you can move on to the next level.

App Limitations

Being a freemium title, Cat Simulator features two kinds of in-game currencies. Gold Coins are common and may be picked up within the stages. Gems may also be obtained for free but they are much rarer. These are used to purchase different cats and clothing types. As you may have guessed, the ones which have the best stats are bought using Gems. It is possible to pay real cash to get a hefty amount of savings off the bat but the game does not force you to. You may choose to spend time instead, farming currency until you've got enough for the item you want. If you're thinking of sharing this game with a child, keep in mind that video ads tend to interrupt the experience. If you're not too keen on having any unexpected installs or in-app purchases, it will be best to supervise them during play.

The Verdict: Far from Purr-fect

Cat Simulator is certainly unique as far as simulations go. In general, it is fun to torment humans and pets alike. Their reactions may not be realistic, choosing to simply walk away from the kitty but they do voice their disapproval enough to make things entertaining. Considering that this is an app for mobile devices, the graphics are great save for a few hilarious glitches such having half a plate passing through a guy. Basically, you don't need to be a crazy cay lady to love Cat Simulator. If you're into silly games and you don't mind closing ads every now and then, don't hesitate to try this app out.
